Data Architect
A 3 month contract for a Data Architect one of the UK's leading retailers has arisen.
This is a real opportunity to make your mark in a multi-channel function and develop the data model.
This role will require the successful candidate to have sound retail experience in multi-channel and be able to work across various business functions.
In order to be selected for interview you will need experience of:
Experience of taking the a lead analytical role in more than one application project
Developing, maintaining and the communication for the strategy for managing information and ensuring that uniformly recognised and accepted across the organisation.
You will be responsible for modelling the process and information required to support the organisation and work with and develop standards, processes, data structures and architectures.
Moreover, you will be expected to get involved in the governance process for project solution, design and quality assurance.
Taking the lead in a similar role, be able to develop data design guidelines and develop the strategy for information policy compliance.
Desirable experience, which would add weight to your application includes;
At least 2 years experience of working as a data architect in a retail environment, specifically multi-channel.
Experience of the TOGAF framework
Experience and understanding of a Service-Oriented Architecture
Use of Enterprise Service Bus is essential
The role will also involve providing specialist data modelling advice to project teams and advise on the correct approach on the use of shared data.
You will need to have both a technical understanding and be able to work with senior stakeholders. This role is very business focused and therefore you will need to be able to demonstrate solid experience of working within an organisation across various departments with varying strategies.
The key results my client is seeking is, for the role is to propose and agree a target data architecture that will support the business strategy moving forward. You will provide specialist integration advice to development teams.
Moreover, seek new, efficient and cost effective models of operation. In addition, this role will involve you identifying additional opportunities to contribute to the wider strategy. You will need to set standards and guidelines for business data modelling and systems data modelling.
