IBM Websphere Specialist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an IBM WebSphere Specialist to work with one of the UK"s leading retailer. This is for an initial 6 month contract with the opportunity for future extensions. As a technical expert you will work in the Middleware systems team, part of the infrastructure development area. We are looking for an experienced Websphere specialist to support the development work plan for core business systems, primarily using IBM"s WebSphere Application Server and IBM"s WebSphere Commerce Suite software. The role will involve working on a specific development project, working with the application development teams to support their development and testing work. The infrastructure is multi-platform and knowledge of Unix, AIX and Windows O/S would be beneficial. If you have design experience that will be beneficial to your success as knowledge of the technical workings of the suite will enhance your technical support to the team.
The right candidate will be able to demonstrate relevant experience and skills as below:
IBM Websphere Application Server v6.1 to Advanced Level
IBM Websphere Commerce v6 Apache
IBM HTTP servers IBM Websphere MQ v6
Experience of between 3 - 5 years of WAS and WCS administration.
