Project Director - T24 - KSA

Project Director/ Programme Manager urgently required to start in January 2012 or before. This is an excellent contract opportunity due its 2 year duration rather than the usual 3 month rolling. The role will primarily focus on the overall delivery responsibility of a critical Core Banking Project which will of course require expertise of Retail and/or Corporate Banking. My client is looking for a Project Director who has experience of delivering T24 because this is the product that is being delivered. We are looking for dedicated, hard working and mature senior level practitioners because the stakeholders within the bank have high expectations, will place stringent demands upon the team and may also have a tendency to be extremely assertive; occasionally abrupt. The difference not only in culture but also banking practices will add additional challenges to the projects and make the integration of the software considerably complex. The successful candidate will have core banking, T24, and senior project level experience, with professional certifications in Project Management and have an ability and desire to not only co-ordinate commercial aspects of the projects but also, when required, roll their sleeves up, be hands on and make sure that the project is on track. Prior work experience in the region would be preferable but not essential so long as a candidate understands the environment that they will be working in. This role should be seen as a challenge and an opportunity to test oneself in a difficult and diverse environment. This role would not suit someone without T24 experience or a candidate that does not work well with very demanding personalities. The role will require management of internal stakeholders and sponsors as well as external partner management. The role is based in Riyadh paying USD 10-12 K month, plus accommodation, plus health, plus work permit, plus flights. Please send CV's as work documents only.
