An exciting opportunity has arisen within a consultancy services business within the retail space for a Project Manager. This business is looking to double their growth within the next four years and the team is looking for a Project Manager to join this customer facing team. This professional services company works with Tier 1 and 2 grocery and high street retailers, and as a result, we are looking to identify specialist resources from within the retail space; expertise covering retail store systems, software delivery, and EPOS systems. My client is looking for the Project Manager to manage the end-end delivery of the solutions including initiation, development, test, build and deployment.

The role requires a professional Project Manager who is used to working within the retail space with expertise of Retail specific IT, Store Systems/Technology and especially EPOS. The successful candidate must be PRINCE2 qualified and have strong retail experience from the vendor/supplier side. You will need to be able to demonstrate external client facing project management experience. This role will require someone who has had experience of the full project lifecycle, particularly business requirement gathering and software development projects.

This Project Management position will suit someone with retail store systems expertise.

This role will require you to define each element of the project plan.  To schedule and manage all project activities, including the overall and detailed delivery schedules, project milestones and dependencies, acceptance criteria, quality criteria, commercial arrangements and  financial parameters and management of sub-contractors / partners. You will be required to:

ensure all project 'stakeholders' are identified and sufficiently informed and involved during all stages of the project. 
ensure each individual 'stakeholder' provides high levels of personal and public support to the project
establish and agree robust acceptance criteria for each element of the project, and its individual streams, which can be used to measure project performance and ensures appropriate levels of customer 'sign off'
manage project performance against the agreed plan and initiate 'remedial' action (or escalation), when required
ensure appropriate and timely project reporting and escalation
ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction throughout the project life cycle
ensure the project is managed in accordance with the chosen project management methodology, with regard to planning, control, reporting, documentation, quality, risk analysis and management and change control
assist with the preparation and control of the project budget and ensure delivery against financial targets set. 
assist with the production of accurate financial forecasting of the performance of the project.
