My client is a Global IT & Telecoms organisation who has a requirement for a Senior Technical Project Manager to join the European arm of the business. The role exists within the Business Network Services department, and will take responsibility for the design and implementation of customer Network solution Projects. These Projects will primarily be MPLS networks for medium to large enterprise customers.
The main objectives of the role are to ensure a structured and global process within Service Delivery as well as the delivery of Projects within time, budget, and business KPI's.
It will be your responsibility to ensure Project plans and documentation are updated according to Project progress; Schedule 3rd party orders, site survey, design, node configurations, AL test, equipment installation, UAT and customer migration including handover documentation; Coordinate node configuration schedule with the Global provisioning team; provide coordination and support to develop customer migration plan and procedures with Systems Engineering, complete Projects and hand over to the NOC Team; take the initiative in troubleshooting; You will provide assistance to the sales team in determining the optimal Network Solution for existing customers which includes customer presentations and meetings; work with global teams to deliver customer solutions in different cultural environments.
The successful candidate will have extensive hands on knowledge of Routing & Switching with experience of managing the delivery of MPLS networks to end clients. You will be PRINCE2 certified or equivalent with knowledge of or qualifications in ITIL. You will have excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills with the ability to make a strong impact and influence key decisions. The ability to prepare technical proposals and present solutions to end clients, and ability to diagnose and support problems at 3rd line level will also be extremely beneficial.
