We have a very exciting opportunity based in either China or Hong Kong for a Vice President of Sales or Regional Sales Manager with fluency in Chinese & English to work for one of the largest global Banking Vendors. This is a new role and is one of the most strategically important hires for my client globally. The Regional Sales Manager leads a sales team of Territory Sales Managers and Sales Executives, and oversees the development and implementation of sales strategies in the region. Responsible for putting together and coordinate all the different elements of the regional sales strategy and ensure the buy-in of the senior management both for short- and long-term. The Regional Sales Manager will be initiating, facilitating and establishing contacts and developing relationships with senior managers and key opinion leaders in the banking and financial services industry to advocate and promote our client's products and services.

The successful candidate will be accountable for the following -

The establishment and achievement of regional goals delivered by delegating responsibilities to subordinates. Manage a team of Territory Sales Managers and Sales Executives; set and delegate sales targets, develop, implement and follow through the sales strategy and ensure team buy-in, decide and make recommendations on deal structuring and participate in top level negotiations, and keep the team motivated to achieve optimum sales results. Finalize, approve and advise all client profiles and strategic approaches in the region, for all current and potential clients. Oversee and follow through on all sales and marketing initiatives across geographies and functions. Develop and implement short and long term regional sales strategies and contribute to product direction and development, initiate market research and make proposals on potential product developments. Build and foster long-term relationships and referrals with senior managers, officers and key opinion leaders in the banking and financial services sectors, and establish and continue relationships with primary alliance partners and identify new market and growth opportunities. Manage all cost aspects of sales to maximize revenues and ensure that all company standards and policies are followed, and ensure all legal and regulatory compliance within the region. Recruit the best available sales people at all levels, manage, motivate and grow the sales team, coach and train the sales people in all phases of the sales cycle.

The successful candidate will have the following Skills and Qualifications -

Sales skills: Proven track record of sales and achievement of sales targets in the banking and financial services sectors, and substantial relevant experience within the same domain (10 years or more). Able to deal with people at all levels within an organization, and show and demonstrate negotiating skills with key decision makers. Demonstrate good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills to establish interest, trust and credibility.

Technical skills: Good understanding of banking operations and relevant processes (front, middle, back office), thorough understanding of IT processes and implementations from both functional and technical perspectives.

Educational & Proficiency level: Preferably a university education in relevant business disciplines, preferably with a post-graduate degree.
